Hiruzen Highland is a resort in a plateau region spreading along the southern base of the Hiruzen Sanza, a mountain range consisting of Mt. Kamihiru, Mt. Nakahiru, and Mt. Shimohiru. The natural environment of this highland lets you enjoy a variety of beautiful seasonal features such as fresh green leaves in spring and summer, crimson foliage in autumn, and snowy landscape in winter. Although many leisure facilities are found in Hiruzen Highland, there is no bus service that can take you there. Thus, driving or renting a bicycle is recommended. At the Hiruzen Jersey Land where Jersey cattle is bred and dairy products are manufactured, you can enjoy a nice meal while gazing at the cows grazing or purchase dairy products. Additionally, horseback riding at the Hiruzen Horse Park can be enjoyed while savoring delicious dishes featuring herbs can be experienced at the Hiruzen Herb Garden Herbill. Here in the highland, you can find the brand-name water called Shiogama-no-Reisen selected as one of the 100 best waters in Japan. Moreover, fishing can be enjoyed at the Hiruzen Shiogama Yogyo Center where you can catch fish that have been bred here.
