The Saitama Traditional Crafts Hall is located at Ogawamachi Rest Area. Traditional Saitama Prefecture crafts such as Iwatsuki dolls and Hasukabe raised-cloth battledores are on display, and staff put on performances. You can see how Japanese paper is made at the Japanese Paper Workshop or try making some for yourself. Choose from postcard sets to single large sheets to make postcards, colored sheets or tanzaku poem cards. There is a gift shop inside selling Japanese paper and small items like dolls made from the paper.
