The Shibuya Koen-dori, or Koen Street, is an avenue that crosses the border of Jinnan and Udagawa-cho in Shibuya. It is a slope approximately 450 meters long that starts from Marui City Shibuya-mae, passes through the intersection of the Kinro Fukushi Kaikan in front of Shibuya Parco, and ends at the Shibuya Ward Office intersection.
With lots of gourmet, shopping, and entertaining attractions, it is an area that is popular among both young people and adults. There are always many people coming and going through this street which has clean, well-maintained sidewalks lined with trees and flowers. During the Christmas season, the illuminations brightly light up the wintry town.
There are a wide variety of stores here, from large-sized to unique ones. As you walk up the hill from the Shibuya Station, you will see many cultural/public facilities such as the Tobacco and Salt Museum, Shibuya Ward Office, and Shibuya C.C. Lemon Hall and at the end of the Koen Street, you will find Yoyogi Park with its lush greenery spreading before your eyes.
