Shiodome
Centered around "Shiodome Sio-Site," an area consisting of high-rises, Shiodome is a town made by redeveloping a vast 31-hectare piece of land starting from the site of the former JR Shiodome cargo station to Hamamatsucho Station.
With 13 high-rises functioning as office buildings, there also is a hotel as well as many restaurant and stores that are connected by underground passages and pedestrians' crossings. You will find a park called Hamarikyu Onshi Teien and the Tokyo Bay on the eastern side while the administrative district from Shinbashi Station to Toranomon and Kasumigaseki are found on the western side. Shiodome is also conveniently located close to Ginza, Tsukiji, and the new Tokyo waterfront subcenter.
Various events are also held throughout the year while Shiodome City Center, Caretta Shiodome, and NTV Tower are popular dating spots among young people. Indeed, Shiodome is known as a new landmark of Tokyo.
