The Arima Hot Spring is one of the greatest hot springs in Japan located at the northern base of Mt. Rokko in the northern area of Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture.
This is the oldest hot spring in the country which began gushing out from the earth in ancient times when people still had not acquired the skill of digging.
Additionally, this hot spring contains seven of the nine main elements designated as therapeutic water and is characteristic of containing many elements considered to be rare even on a global scale.
Although close to a big city, it is situated deep in the mountains and public bathhouses can even be found in this popular hot spring resort which is within a reasonable distance from Osaka and Kobe.
